Full Job Description:
SoundMind is an organization dedicated to bringing equity, ethics, and innovation to the psychedelic renaissance through clinical services, facilitator training, research, and public education. The Communication and Marketing Specialist is well-versed in digital marketing and social media to promote SoundMind’s public presence, as well as general communications skills targeted at managing our organizational partnerships in the psychedelic space and the public presence of our founder, Dr. Hannah McLane. This position is responsible for managing SoundMind’s social media across all platforms. It is also responsible for developing and maintaining SoundMind’s image, coordinating speaking engagement, and creating communications content.
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Creates and enhances awareness through marketing materials such as regular newsletters and press releases
Ensures marketing and website content is current and organized properly
Maintains, organizes, and updates internal marketing materials
Creates content tailored for social media based on strong understanding of the platforms and their requirements
Knowledge and experience in creating digital content with platforms such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, etc., and/or ability to work with a designer to direct the creation of marketing content.
Works collaboratively and respectfully with team members to develop deliverables and execute marketing strategy
Understands the company values and objectives, and incorporates them into marketing activities and initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher required
Degree specializing in marketing, journalism, business, or related disciplines preferred
Relevant experience in branding and marketing preferred
Relevant experience in healthcare field preferred, but not required
Working knowledge of data analytics related to marketing and branding
Knowledge of psychedelic medicine and therapy preferred, but not required
Knowledge of SoundMind as an organization, including its values, mission, and brand
Schedule:
18 - 20 hours/week
