Soulquinox Conference: Healing, Learning, and Good Vibes in Vermont

What an epic time at the Soulquinox Conference in Stowe, Vermont last weekend! It’s easily Dr. Hannah’s top pick for conferences, especially for neurodiverse individuals. The intimate setting, free from sensory overload, created a welcoming and inspiring space for meaningful connection and learning. 🎉

The weekend featured an incredible lineup of speakers, thanks to the remarkable Dr. Rick Barnett, who organized the event. And to top it all off, East Forest performed live and screened his film Music for Mushrooms, produced by Dr. Hannah’s dear friend, Lewis Kofsky. It was a magical experience that left everyone in awe.

Dr. Hannah’s Talk: A Journey Through Shame, Healing, and Psychedelics

Dr. Hannah had the honor of delivering a talk on Shame, Self-Compassion, Forgiveness, and Healing from Narcissistic Abuse with the help of psychedelics. This presentation built on her popular talk from last year, which focused on Cults, Narcissism, Informed Consent, and Psychedelics.

In her talk, she highlighted the unique approach at SoundMind Institute, where they combine Ceremonial Plant Medicine practices with Western Medical approaches to create a holistic healing experience. She shared compelling video examples of retreat participants experiencing profound healing from trauma through this integrative method.

For the first time in a decade, Dr. Hannah donned a white coat as a symbol of empowerment, encouraging other women doctors to reclaim the title of “Doctor.” She also shared new graphics on shame and guilt, demonstrating how SoundMind integrates these concepts into their psychedelic protocols.

Personal Reflections on Neurodiversity and Transformative Encounters

During her talk, Dr. Hannah openly discussed her personal experiences with neurodiversity, including dyslexia, ADHD, auditory processing disorder, and face blindness. One of the highlights of the weekend for her was meeting the mother of a former student, who shared how SoundMind’s training program had completely transformed her daughter’s life. It was a heartwarming moment that reaffirmed the deep impact of the work SoundMind is doing.

Dr. Hannah often emphasizes that the training program is 50% about academic and protocol learning, and 50% about healing yourself. Healed healers are essential to this work, and hearing stories of transformation is a testament to that philosophy.
